My Narrative

A thought. A narrative. A dream.
Hello! Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Sarah and I am a student, wife, and future change-maker dedicated to creating a more equitable and just society through storytelling, education, and action.

Since I started college in 2017, I have found myself continually humbled by the unknown. I have found such a sense of fulfillment in my own life through the unknown and the opportunities that have been presented to me. With each passing day, Humility in Unknown Possibility gains more followers, and with that, even more, success. I hope this blog can serve you as a place to reflect and relate. And as a place to inspire you to be a contributor to solutions and a fighter for a more just society.

I am a first-generation student who has earned her associate degree of general study with a human services specialization and an associate's degree of science from Lord Fairfax Community College.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Bachelor of Art in Poltiical science from Shenandoah University.

Leadership Positions

At Shenandoah University I am an active part of the community through contributing to organizations centered around increasing equity on campus. I serve as a student representative to the President's Representatives on Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (P.R.I.D.E) Committee, and I serve as a representative to the Bias and Discrimination Advisory Board.  I am also a contributor to the Buzz student Newspaper and an active member of the Black Student Union.

Career and Work

I have worked in several administrative positions. I began my work experience at Lord Fairfax Community College where I worked in an administrative role in the student advising department. I later transitioned to work in the marketing and outreach department as a volunteer organizer and social media developer. After graduating from LFCC I went on to develop skills in healthcare, where I worked for a small hospital as a unit-based administrative staff member. I have since become a personal care aid and hope to continue to acquire a skillset from a variety of different settings to prepare me for future policy work.
